Grandpa sends the elephants home
This lovely little verse comes from the Monghyr copper plate of Devapāla:
vijitya yenājaladher vasundharāṃ
vimocitā moghaparigrahā iti |
sabāṣpam udbāṣpavilocanān punar
vaneṣu bandhūn dadṛśur mataṅgajāḥ ||
[yena = Gopālena, who was Devapāla's grandfather]
Crying elephants!
vijitya yenājaladher vasundharāṃ
vimocitā moghaparigrahā iti |
sabāṣpam udbāṣpavilocanān punar
vaneṣu bandhūn dadṛśur mataṅgajāḥ ||
[yena = Gopālena, who was Devapāla's grandfather]
Crying elephants!
